Utility Overview Diagram

Numeric Network Analysis (NNA) offers easy approaches for measuring distances and analyzing various accessibility and hierarchical issues along with spatial networks. The NNA toolbox is available in the latest Grasshopper for Rhino (windows only) with a number of new features and functionalities in order to measure the values of spatial networks, locations, buildings, travel cost/time, and agents.

This add on calculates a wide range of properties of mobility analysis to accelerate their design thinking and decision making. Architects, designers, urban designers, and planners who engage with the spatial analyses for their design process can interactively evaluate designated networks, redesigned paths /circulations, and new location impacts that thoroughly improve the design outcome.

Graphic User Interface

You can see NNA toolbox in Grasshopper that looks like this.

Numeric Network Analysis consists of providing network setup/editing, mobility computing, network inspection, visualization, data import/export, and agent simulation.

The first set of the tools (A. Network Setup Utility) deals with assigning network, which cleans the lines and builds new network datasets in Grasshopper.

The second and third set of tools (Network Analysis Utility for Basic and Custom) offers two types for different users. The basis version offers fast-paced site analysis/evaluation and data collection through mobility analysis. The custom version performs in-depth spatial analysis with big data sets, weighted network/area/node, O-D evaluation, or network inspection integrated with Python or C# code.

The fourth set of tools (Data) is used for a variety of types for basic data analyses, including data description, decay analysis, raster image, correlation, regression, and fitted-line prediction.

The fifth set of the tools (N. Agent) offers to test agent-based network analyses that simulate the concept of dispersing or gathering along with networks.

The toolbox is in the beta version. It is still under development and we are looking forward to listening to your feedback in making results better.
